PayPoint Romania and Tinmar Energy announce agreement

Bucharest, November 2016 – PayPoint Romania, the main retail-based cash and mobile payment operator in Romania, announces a new agreement with electricity supplier Tinmar Energy, the largest private electricity provider in Romania. From now on, Tinmar Energy’s clients can pay their electricity bills quick and secure through PayPoint’s terminals installed in the yellow-branded stores country-wide.

To pay their Tinmar Energy bills, customers must simply go to the nearest PayPoint store with the bill and tell attendant what type of payment they wish to make. After scanning the barcode and making the payment to the shop assistant, in cash, the customers receive a receipt with all the transactions’ details (date, amount etc.). The whole operation is very quick and, in order to use the PayPoint system, consumers do not have to pay any additional fees or shop at the store.

“We are very happy to announce the Tinmar Energy agreement. When we add a new important supplier to our portfolio, our consumers, no matter where they are in Romania, make fewer trips and spend less time in queues, gaining time for what really matters. For them, the security, easiness and quickness of the transactions are extremely important and these are benefits they will also enjoy when paying electricity bills issued by our latest partner. As such, we have all the reasons to believe in the success of this agreement”, said Mugur Dogariu, Managing Director PayPoint România.

“Through our agreement with PayPoint we want to offer our clients a quick and secure method for paying their electricity bills. We want to differentiate on the electricity supply market by introducing services related to the electricity packages we offer to residential consumers. These mean more comfort and a string of benefits that translate, for the client, in a superior experience in using electricity services, everything under the assumed and honest slogan “You have all our energy”, said Carla Parnica - PR Manager Tinmar Energy

This agreement brings a new, important supplier to PayPoint’s portfolio. Along with paying electricity bills, customers can also use PayPoint terminals for paying utility bills (gas, sanitation, water, etc), mobile phone plans, internet or cable TV, security services, plane tickets and road tax, as well as buy mobile phone top-ups and even transfer money, both internally and internationally, at selected PayPoint locations.
