PayPoint announces new agreement with EVA Energy

Bucharest, 20 November 2015 - PayPoint Romania, the leading retail-based bill and mobile top-up payment service in Romania has signed an agreement with energy supplier EVA Energy.

This service is aimed at customers of EVA Energy’s electricity division, who will now be able to also pay their electricity bills quickly and securely through more than 9,200 PayPoint terminals installed in convenience stores with long hours across the country.

To make a payment, customers who receive electricity services provided by EVA Energy simply take their bill to the nearest store with a PayPoint terminal. There, the shop attendant scans the bill’s bar code; the customer pays in cash and receives a receipt with all the transaction’s details (date, amount, location, supplier etc). The whole process is very quick, secure and on top of that, there is no extra fee!

This agreement adds another new electricity supplier to PayPoint’s portfolio. Along with paying bills for electricity, consumers are also able to use PayPoint terminals to pay bills for utilities (gas, water, sewerage etc.), mobile phone plans, internet or cable TV and pay for their road tax, as well as buy mobile phone top-ups and even transfer money, both internally and internationally, at selected PayPoint locations.
