Bucharest, 28 October 2015 - PayPoint Romania, the main retail-based cash and mobile payment operator in Romania has signed an agreement with Lycamobile.

Lycamobile is the world’s biggest international mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) and provides services to 14 million customers across 20 countries. The low-cost, high-quality data and voice services offered by the company enable its customers to connect with their friends and family around the world.

To top-up their credit, Lycamobile customers can go to any of the 9,200-plus PayPoint partner stores and request a voucher of the desired value from the store. The transaction is quick and easy, the payment is done in cash and the consumer receives a voucher with the top-up code.

Given the large number of Romanians whose loved ones live abroad, we are happy to make it easier for them to keep in touch. We are proud that we can offer consumers over 9,200 partner stores where they can solve all of their problems with one trip: they can top-up their Lycamobile SIM, transfer money, pay bills as well as have their grocery shopping done! We’re convinced that the advantages of this agreement will be appreciated by our consumers, who are always looking for safe and convenient solutions to ease their lives,” said Mugur Dogariu, Managing Director PayPoint Romania.

“We are always looking for ways to expand and improve our customer experience and this extension of our partnership with PayPoint is a great example of that, making it easier than ever to stay in touch with friends and family wherever in the world they may be. We’re very excited to be growing our existing ventures into this new market, providing convenience and ease to our customers in Romania.” said Lycamobile Chairman, Subaskaran Allirajah.

This agreement extends the range of services PayPoint is offering its consumers. Along with topping up prepaid cards, through PayPoint’s terminals consumers may also pay: utility bills (electricity, natural gas, water, sewerage etc), their road tax, security services, plane tickets, telecoms, internet and cable TV, installments as well as make domestic and international money transfers in select PayPoint stores.
