Aquabis customers in Romania can now pay their bills at PayPoint
Bucharest, Romania, 6 March 2014 – Customers of Aquabis, the main water and sewerage operator in Bistrita-Nasaud County, can now pay their bills at PayPoint, Romania’s leading retail-based payments network.
To make a payment, Aquabis’ customers simply take the bill to the nearest PayPoint store, usually in a convenience store, where the shop assistant scans the barcode printed on the bill. The customer pays, in cash, and receives a receipt with the details of the transaction (date, amount, location etc). The whole operation takes just a few moments, so customers need to spend far less time paying their bills.
“With every new client, PayPoint becomes even more essential to the users of our service. By providing a wide range of different payment types, we are able to offer them tangible benefits of paying all their bills, which increasingly include their water and sewerage bills, safely and at a time and place that are convenient for their lifestyles. The citizens of Bistrita-Nasaud have already shown that they trust the PayPoint system for paying their bills and, in return, we are continuously looking to expand our network of terminals as well as the range of services available to them,” declared Mugur Dogariu, Managing Director, PayPoint Romania.
“By working with PayPoint, we can make sure that our customers find paying their bills quicker and easier, especially as PayPoint terminals are in local neighbourhood stores with extended opening hours. We have no doubt that this will be a successful partnership,” added Ion Sandru, General Manager, SC Aquabis SA.
This latest partnership further consolidates PayPoint’s leading position in Northern Romania, where residents of Bistrita-Nasaud can already pay bills for gas, electricity, mobile phone plans, internet and cable TV through PayPoint’s terminals, as well as perform electronic top-ups for prepaid mobile phones and even transfer money both internally and internationally at select PayPoint locations.
